Andrés Antonio Suárez Manso was born in Sancti Spiritus city, province of Las Villas, Cuba, on August 5, 1956, been his parents Andrés Froilán Suárez Castañeda and Clara Julia Manso Cruz.  His father was a plantado (Standing) political prisoner, for 14 years, been in prisons such as Santa Clara, Manacas, Boniato, and Arisa, places where he had three attempts to his life and one attempt to kill him by firing squad.  Mr. Suárez worked as an industrial mechanic at sea in the Cuban Fishing Fleet for 11 years and carried out several innovations for the protection of the workers, been promoted to study breathing equipment for rescue in the Havana Rescue Team and Leipzig, then East Germany.  Suárez is graduated in Technical Drafting and Industrial Illustrating from the Industrial Design Institute of Havana.  It was in the process of the Perestroika that his father informed him of the abuses in the prisons of Cuba.
  Mr. Suárez compiled articles and data from the Havana Archives, the Captain Generals Museum, and his family for the publication of the biography of his great-grandfather, the Great General Manuel Suárez Delgado, an ex-captain from Canary Islands who fought for the independence of Cuba, under the command of the Great General Ignacio Agramonte, but he knew later that the biography of the Great General Suárez would not be published, since it would affect the antidemocratic principles of  Castro’s revolution.
  Mr. Suárez decided to ask for political asylum when he was returning to Cuba from East Germany in Gander, Newfoundland, Canada in 1989 and obtained his Ontario Secondary School Diploma in business and computer studies in the city of London, province of Ontario, Canada.  Suárez has been very active receiving denounces of the human rights violations from Cuba since 1990 and married Mrs. Susana Mercedes Pérez García.  Suárez has published articles, poems and short stories in English and Spanish about the reality of Cuba, which is the content of To Cuba with Love.  Other books by the author are Management Tips with Salt, intended to entertain during the difficulties of management and Shacalocom…Remá, intended for educational purpose, as well as, for a mathematics learning experience with some fun.
